Congratulations to all!
Congratulations to all those who participated in the first Alaska Milk Ironkids Philippines running event at Manila Polo Club last February. It was great fun and we were pleased so many children (and parents) came out.
In order to improve the registration process, we will now be issuing race packets at the time you register at Timex Gloreitta or Timex Megamall. However, in order to do this, YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE YOUR CHILD’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR PASSPORT UPON REGISTRATION.
For online registrations, WE WILL COURIER YOUR RACE KITS UPON RECEIVING A SCANNED COPY OF THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR PASSPORT BY EMAIL OR FAX. If we do not receive the passport of birth certificate, your race kit will not be sent.
The following items are in the race kits:
• A disposable timing chip which is affixed to your child’s shoelace. Please do not substitute timing chips as these are already programmed with your child’s information. There will be simple instructions to tie the chip on to their shoes.
• A race bib (number) is also provided and these can be affixed to your child’s shirt using safety pins (provided) or a race belt should they have one. There is also a provision to write their name at the bottom of the race number.
• A race map that will discussed again at the briefing to be conducted shortly before race starts on race day. It is important for the children to report to the briefing area at the designated time. We will also endeavor to conduct the next race shortly after the completion of the preceding race.
We were able to conduct the last event in a rather orderly fashion and it is our intent to continue doing so. However, we do need parental cooperation. The race course is close to children only. Parents may not run along side their children during the race. There will be areas for you to cheer or photograph your child during his or her event.
IF A PARENT IS CAUGHT PACING ALONGSIDE THEIR CHILD, THIS MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION. Please help us keep this a fun event. Your children will enjoy the stress free nature of how Ironkids is structured.
We also have medical assistance on hand in the event your child should have any minor medical requirements.
